1.8t and 400+hp?! I got some questions
I dont have any boost logs for elims. Best i could probably do is some dynos. Spool will easily be infavor of the gt2871r by 300-500rpms and same with the power.
found 1 log on vortex. Let me graph it since its not and post it.

I dont get that response. A 400hp and even 400whp car is still very streetable from the 1.8t. With boost kicking in at ~4k and the power holding till 7-7.5k (which the stock head can do), i dont see what the problem is. You get great power and still are able to get ~30mpg when not in boost. The cost of upgrades, gas, maintence, and insurance on a s4 will be SO much higher

still im sure you will get better mileage with a 1.8t than a 2.7t. and the s4 does have extremely high insurance rates but from my first impression, i rather like that v6.

AMS has a gt40 kit for the evo and they make over 900awhp with ease, someapproaching the 1k mark

please stop telling me you get 30+ mpg. you and me both know you dont get 30+ mpg especially moded. i borrowed my friends 2000 1.8t passat (chippped 5spd fwd) this summer while he was in brazil and drove it from washington d.c. to vermont and never got above 25 mpg on average. sure you could coast down a hill and be in that range for a little and im sure if you drove like a grandmother you could get better than 25 mpg but not much and certainly not 30+ (on a consistent basis). in a perfect world yeah..30mpg...maybe, but in real life no. it just doesnt happen.and dont get me wrong, im not saying ~25 mpg isnt good but its not 30+ mpg.

Since when have you driven my or other's TT? My car weighs in at < 2800lbs and has plenty or rotating mass removed. With mixed driving i get ~28mpg and with more hw miles i get ~32mpg. Plus i far from baby my car. So to sum it up for you again since you STILL havent got thepoint in the last thread where you made this argument, the car runs on just the 1.8L motor when not in boost.... ie highway or crusing. No matter what boost level, turbo size, or injector size. So stop being dumb already!
