Default 1.8T driving concern

hello,
i just got an 02 1.8T. I enjoy the adrenaline rush i get from driving fast so i tend to push my car a little hard... like high reving close to the red line and all of that. I was just concerned because this is my first turbo engine and i dont know if pushing the car very hard has an adverse effect on the engine. Anybody has any suggestions or ideas to put my conscience at ease?
thanks

dont worry its fine as long as you dont drive that way all the time
do you properly warm up your car and do u give it cool downs when u finish driving

I really dont let it warm up before i drive just because the manual discourages that. And most of the time i just turn off the engine when i park. I guess i have to reconsider that.
Thanks for the quick reply.

letting it just sit there and warm up is what the manual is discouraging you from, what panda is saying is do you let it fully warm up before you rip on it?

yea warm up u just have to let it sit until the high idles lower then take it easy when u drive until it is properly warmed up

and cool down just let the engine idle for a minute or so
just open the car door a lil or so then when teh annoying beeping ends (about a minute) turn off the engine
