IS the 1.8T GTI engine the same as the 1.8T A4?

Is the 1.8T GTI engine the same as the 1.8T a4?

Depends on the year. The VW versions of the 1.8t are transverse and the oil pan and oil screen pick up are different.

yup, and the way the water pump bolts on is different for some years, plus the motor mount brackets are different on some years.

No none of the 1.8T form Jetta will fit an A4...you need a long mounted, plus the tranny systems are diff too

wouldn't a 1.8t in both be the same or similar if they are both fwd cars?
