Default 1.8T SMOKING!! HELP!!

Ok so I have a 98 a4 1.8tqm. My dad recently noticed that after sitting at a light or stop sign etc. idling when i start off and shift into second the car blows a white puff of smoke out of the exhaust. It also happens when i just let it idle for a minute then give it gas but not when i am going. Its kind of like its clearing itself out. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?? any help would be greatly appreciated.

ISn't white smoke a coolant leak? I know the blue is oil but if they mixed (oil leaking into the coolant or vice versa) couldn't that produce a blue/white smoke? IDK just an idea. Do you have any power lose? Are watch your oil and coolant levels and see if they go down any.

How many miles on the car? You could have a blown turbo. I would take off the turbo inlet pipe and see if the turbo has any play in it. You can also check thehose to the intercooler or something to see if there is a lot of oil in it. It is common to have oil in the intake on a 1.8t but it should not pour out either.

113K on the stock turbo and 60K on a rebuilt head....im hoping its just the turbo and not a headgasket or piston rings...where would i check to see if oil is leaking into the coolent or vice versa?
