The cheapest thing is to replace the DV, which is probably worn out anyway for a 710N.

For 40 bucks, give it a try.

Thanks david9999, Is an upgraded DV worth it? I found a good deal on a stock one. BTW, I DON'T want any extra noise. What is a 710N?

The 710N is the stock diverter valve in later model audi turbo engines. I believe this came about when they upped the ponies from 150 to 170. It will hold more pressure(14.4lbs) than the original DV(said to hold around 8.8lbs). Since the stock boost is around 7-8, but peaks at around 10 this would be a very good upgrade.

www.ecstuning.com has them for $26.

Check out the general audi forums thread by ImolaS4 on BOVs DVs and the closed loop system. There is some good information there.

I stand corrected...they are $28 at ECS.

Dig a little deeper gregp1962. It's the last listing in the diverter valve section.
