Default 1.8t vs 2.8 times

I was looking up the specs today for 2001 a4s. The 2.8 will do 7.3 sec 0-60 and 15.5 1/4 mile. The 1.8t runs 7.8 sec 0-60 and 16.1 1/4 mile. Thats 1/2 second difference in both test. Not to mention both cars are Quattro models and 5 spd. How much faster does a chip make the 1.8T. All I ever hear is that it will smoke the 2.8. Does anyone know times?

you no how body roll affects cars in turns ... well its kinda of like that if the engine doesn't go side to side as much it should give crisper response ... right ?

No way is a snub going to shave .2 tenths. I also dont think that fwd is going to be 1/2 faster 0-60 either.

socalaudi, you have to understand, the chip increases your hp by 40 and your tq by 80! It makes a very large difference. Ask anyone on this forum if they notice much of a difference after chipping and they will say 'night and day'.

And fastmayte, what is this about a chipped 2.8......what chip are you using....and what is it doing?
