Default 12 volt power in the trunk?

Hi all,

Installing an an XM radio tuner and using the adaptor for the changer in the trunk.
I will need a 12v ignition switched and probably a 12v constant.
Whats best to tap into?
I have owned this car less than 24 hours so not too familiar yet.

Thanks!

would you have a problem running a 12v power from the fuse box?

I was trying to avoid the wire run to the fuse box but that is what I planned to do if there was no better way.

It's really easy to run a 12v power supply from the battery. I ran mine through the ECU box under the molding and into the trunk. Took all but 30 minutes to do it.

if i was putting a boost guage in a vent, (the drivers side) does the wire harness that goes to the back of the vent have a power wire? because it does light up the vent wheel...?

would like to get around running a new wire for a boost guage...

Under the knee bolster is a 75x power post which is "switched power" - best place to get it. Only on when ignition is turned on (or in accessory position).
I ran a wire from that post to my boost gauge in my vent install. I ran all kinds of crap off that 75x post.
