Guys,

Will any 12V automotive/industrial battery work for our cars? Mine is 5 years old and in need of replacement, i have a brand new one my buddy is giving me from his shop IF it will be ok.

Was originally thinking yellowtop optima BUT too much negative responses about running low on charge and getting f'd.

I know our cars are pretty picky sometimes when it comes to OEM parts & fluids but how sticky with a battery?

Cold cranking amps and size are the most important factors with whether a battery will work in a car. A shitty battery manufacturer such as everstart (walmart brand) will cause all kinds of problems.
