from 19 to 25 psi with a 3 in maf?

Default from 19 to 25 psi with a 3 in maf?

so on friday night i put a 3 in maf on my car and the boost went from 19 psi to 25 psi? the car felt great but i think i blew odf a vac line or an intercooler pipe cause on the way home i was only getting 5 psi. i havent been able to check it cause later friday night i had to go to the hosipital and have my appendix removed. any ideas on why i would get that much more boost or was the stock one that restrictive.

you didnt blow the ic pipe off cus then you would have no boost maybe split it. also u may of gone into limp mode. another safety thing put in by audi that kicks the boost down if it notices to much boost

sounds like you just hit limp mode.

i always get throttle cut when i hit 25 psi, i need a MBC to cut off the spikes

i hope all is well with the appendix

If the car has been off for a few hours, then it shouldn't be in limp mode now. Next time you drive it you should be able to get 25 psi again. If not then you have a problem. I would say it is Limp Mode though.

Question - why did you go to a 3 inch maf?

You cant change the maf without changing your tuning. i'm 99.9999% sure your tuning doesnt support it, so why bother? You are doing more harm then good (as evidented by the fact your car is now limping)
