Hi I have recently bought a 1997 1.8t A4. the problem I have is that I do not get any data on the LED panel located between the tacho and the speedo. Is there an easy solution to this or should I just forget about it

 

does it not show any symbols becuase there is a button on the windowashing stalk(underneath it) try pushing that...at least that is the way it is on my 01 i could be wrong about 97's..and yes it sounds stupid but my friend drove my car and i turned the screen off becuase all the lines make me sad and he said the same thing
