Hi everyone my name is Ethan. I am new to the forum and have some questions about a car i am looking at. The car is a 97 A4 auto (wish it was a manuel). It has 120,000 miles on it and came from texas, so the body is great and the rubber is also good. only problem is is that the car wont run. the owner does not have a clue what is wrong with it and wants it gone. i can get the car for $200 but it is still a mystery as to what is wrong with it. about ten months ago the owner had the oil changed and a couple weeks later noticed oil in the driveway. a couple weeks after that he was driving down the road and the engine light came on and the car quit. It wold still roll over but would not start. If you could tell me anything that might help me determine if the car is worth buying and as to what is wrong with it that would be awesome.
