1998 Audi A4 Sports Edition
Well Im kinda new to Audi and I just need some info about the 1998 Audi A4 1.8 Sports Edition. (pricing, features, etc.) . The reason for this is I know a guy that has one thats been sitting in his driveway for over a year. Got cut off and now the Audi has front end damage. .Hes just tired of it and wants it goneso he selling it for $1000. He drove it home after the crash so it drives. It looks like nothing much mostly cosmetic damage but im still bringing in a mechanic to check it out. Considering the fact thatI have a buddy that specializes in Audi it's an easy fix.Anyways I was just looking for some info on this car and what better place than the Audi forum. BTW it has 112,000 on it....good deal?

idk about that car being a sports edition but if u get all the codes from the sticker in the spare tire well u can look it up. usually sports edition has sports seat, 3 spokes steering and lower suspension. that seat is def not the sports seat, noticable even through the cover, the steering wheel well that's self explanatory and no idea about the lower suspension as there are no side pix. also on that 3rd pic, the wheel looks crooked but it could be the picture though. looks like u'll need framework too.
some parts u'll be needing are the headlamp, fender, hood, all the front grilles (top and bottom), new paint job, and possibly some suspension work on that side of the car.
see if u can lower the price a bit more. ur gonna be dropping at least a few grand in for the repairs. i think it would take like a month b4 that car would be road worthy again. it's not much to complain for that price. i would buy that car, strip it and rally it just like this one guy on this forum (therussian). it's a fun car to drive and u will absolutely luv it when it's running great and definitely hate it when it doesn't lol

Well I didnt think it was sports either but itsays Sports Editon on the back. You can see it on the pic but cant read it its blury. But I was actually just looking over the pics again and just noticed that the frame on the front is pushed all the way to the drivers side....one more problem
ORIGINAL: WT300
K well that helped a lot thanks! One more thing though...what do you think about buying it to fix and then trying to sell for a profit?

It's probably a 1998.5 or a 1999. If the title is clear and it is safely repairable (I would say no frame damage), then you might be able to make a bit of a profit on it depending on how expensive the parts you find are. If you get it looking and running really nice, you could probably expect to get $7-$8k for it.
Honestly, for a grand you cannot go wrong. Even if it turns out to be a ton of money to fix the car, and not worth doing so, you can part it out and probably get 2-3 times that much for the parts before you have the carcass hauled away. I'd do it without much thought at all. Dig around in the classifieds here and the WTB section and see what people are looking for. You may find over $1000 worth of sales right there on the first page.
