ive been playin phone tag with a guy whos car is for sell and its quattro and 5 speed and i tried to look up if they made 2.8 5 speeds that year i couldnt find out though. so if you know if they made the 5 spd 2.8 that year thatll help.

 

i have a 99.5q 2.8

 

which is 5 speed of course.

 

also it has "wood" inserts does this make it a 2.8 ?sorry for the stupid questions but i just dont wanna drive 3 hours away for a 2.8

 

you mean would trim....yeah im pretty sure only 2.8s comes with that/ mine does. btw good choice on the 2.8 /w manual. I have a 2.8qm and i cant get enough of how nice of a car it is.

 

if it was wood trim its a 2.8. Good choice i bought my 99.5 2.8qm 3 weeks ago and love it to death.

 

1998 avant quattro 2.8L.. after having this car i dont think i want to drive anything but audi! the just feel like they want to be drivin.. not a lot of people have these cars where i am from and i like it this way.. the civic plag in major effect hhaha

 

The 'research' tab at www.cars.com is pretty much all I use when I have a question like the one you had.

And yeah, a 99 2.8 Quattro with 5 spd would be a great car to own. Most people here are 1.8T fanboys... but if you don't want to mod, the 2.8 is very smooth and quiet.
