I have a 1999.5 a 4 5 spd. man. quattro with a 1.8 turbo. I retrived the dtc codes and they are 17953, throttle pos. control malfuntion and 17967, idle speed cont. throttle pos. adaption malfuntion. I don't know what these codes are telling me is wrong, I was told to replace the throttle body that didn't correct the problem. The car starts but when the gas pedal is depressed the engine can't decide where the proper engine rpm should be it oscillates about 1000 rpms up and down. Any help would greatly appreciated its snowing out and I want my audi back thanks

 

Do a throttle alignment. Disconnect the battery, make sure
you have the radio code. Wait a few minutes and reconnect
the battery. Turn the key part way, do not crank the engine.
The throttle will align itself in 2 minutes.
