19s are nice but ya it gets pricey

if u put a 19inch rim beside ur stock tire, there would be prolly an inch IF that difference in overall size of both. when u go up in rim, u go down in profile, so the car wont look jacked up. you could always add bumpers and skirts to make it look lower.

but yea it does get kinda pricey with tires. 1 of my tires got mangled, so i wanted to get 1 used 19 untill the rest wore out and then just buy a new set. called every single place that sold used tires that was on 411.ca, no one sold em used. and when u buy em single, they tend to get expensive.

20's are easier to maintain then 19's, cuz 20s are way more common now and days. its on u and ur budget man, if u cant afford 19's and the possible headache after u get him, just get 18's.

 

The 19's on my b6 look like they are only 18's because the car is much bigger than a b5, so if you go with a 18" they may look like a 17"
Why dont you save up and get a good set of tires and the 19's?
I know I hate to get somthing less then I wanted, and in a month wish I got what I realy wanted. Thats just me.

 

RS I know the overall diameter doesnt change, but it still has a tendency to make the car look like a monster truck. You need to get rid of the gap between the wheel and the fender with a wheel as big as 19"
