Default 1more thing...

in the morning my car runs fine, nice power but as i get closer to work it feels like my car doesnt have the same throttle response as it does when its cooler, if im in 2ndgear at about 3500 rpms and punch it it throws me back but after while of driving i do the same thing and its not the same power, could it be DV going bad?

First of all... If you dont have at least a chip, there is something wrong if you are being thrown back in your seat when you punch it in 2nd... A stock 1.8t is S L O W as hell. If you feel a decrease in power after driving after while, its probably normal turbo lag or possibly heat soak (unlikely though if ambient temps are bellow 50-60. If your DV was bad youd notice it at all times.

OH, well sounds like you may have a k04, so, thats a different story than what your signature tells.. Id figure that one out quick! If your buddy is good with the car maybe have him check it out because its hard for us to diagnose power issues over the internet if we cant see/drive it and you dont have fault codes or a CEL, or other more descriptive symptoms.

...it's b/c you touch yourself at night
j/k

Heat soak sounds like a reasonable answer. Maybe certain parts of the system aren't up to normal operating temperatures? Perhaps after a consistent amount of time it all reaches steady state and the normal but higher temperatures affect performance. How's the heat exchanger/fins/core condition? Clean?

I took a look at it this weekend and i noticed some sensors for the turbo and other sensors seem corroded, i bought the car from San Francisco right by the ocean so i think the moisture corroded it since a lot of the newer cars there rust really fast due to salt water or something like that. im going to try to replace most of them and i will clean the cooler and give everything a little cleaning. well see.
