Default 1st post 2000 A4 turbo

I just bought a 2000 A4 turbo the other day and need help with some suggestions.

The car has 140k on it and has always been serviced at Audi
The timing belt/water pump/belts/hoses etc etc were done at 120k and the car is in great shape was used to drive to work every day 200 highway miles round trip by a friends wife.

Car has original turbo and clutch

Now for my questions

I want to go ahead and put a new turbo and clutch in but don't know what would be best. I work at a complete service shop and have access to mechanics and get an incredible discount on labor. I don't want anything extreme I just want the car to run smoothly I see k03 turbos on ebay and 'luk' and 'sachs' clutch kits but don't know if those are good ideas or not. I put less than 15k a year on cars and just want this thing to drive as smooth as it looks.

So if the car is in great shape why do you want to replace the turbo and clutch??? Do they show signs of wear?? Or were you just talking about cosmetics when you said its in good shape?? Thats a pretty long life for the stock turbo and clutch, but i wouldnt fix them if they arent broke. Do you mean you want a bigger turbo and better clutch to handle the added power or what???

The clutch is begining to go and so I just want to head it off and do it now before it gets bad. The turbo I figured I might as well do it now because th other one has 140k on it and I don't want to wait for a problem(unless you have heard of them lasting much longer than 140k).

shouldn't have a problem with the turbo for a while. especially since the miles are almost all highway. and if your only gona put 15k on it a year then definitely just keep the turbo and put the money to good use elsewhere
