2.25" or 2.5" piping size?
2.5" is about as big as you would wanna go with a non turbo car, especially the 12v. You might actually get a better sound out of the 2.25" cuz it would probably be perfect size piping for your cars HP and backpressure.
you wont really see any power gains, i know i didnt on my exhaust on my 12v, but DEFINATELY get a resonator... wow, without a resonator it seriously sounds HORRIBLE. On my new 30v im just gonna get some nice polished tips and call it a day, lol.
good luck and post clips.

...and yeah I'm not really expecting to see any HP gains. I've accepted the fact that my car is what it is. It just still has the original exhaust on it which is sounding crappy now. Figured I'd do custom, get a better sound and still save money over getting an OEM replacement. I'm still deciding on whether to go 2.25" or 2.5", I think it will be a last minute decission. I'll definately let you guys know how it goes.
The borla exhaust comes with 4 resonators total... I took 2 (1 set) of them out and replaced it with aluminum downpipes and it sounds amazing.. I don't get popping unless its a cold standstill rev and I get the beloved deeep sound I payed for. When I had all 4 resonators on I could hear the engine over the exhaust. Definitly have at least 1 set of resonators on to avoid backfiring and a disgusting sound. The guy who did it for me said if I take off all the resonators its gonna backfire like a bitch and ill regret it. Just keep that in mind, and I'd go 2.50 for the size. imo.
