2.8 or 1.8t?

I was thinkin of pickin up an a4 for my first car and i was wonderin whats better the 1.8t or 2.8? Ive had people from each side tellin me its better. Anyone can help me? The Years gona be like 2000-2002 i guess.....

Ya cant Mod a 2.8 for **** unless you S/C for 5k [&:]
Get a 1.8T and go stage3
