Anyone aroud here drive an 2.8 A4 ? not the lucky guys who have
the 30 valve ?

I used to drive a 97 2.8 12 valve. Why?

 

I need to know what plugs and oil you use ?

I used NGK BKUR6ET10 plugs and Mobile one 0W-40 oil.

 

i used to use 0w40, but i burned quite a bit of oil, so i switched to royal purple 20w50. if you've got high mileage (100k+) i'd suggest getting a thicker oil like a 20w50

 

I would recommend denso irridium plugs, for a non turbo car! Hell, I use them in my 1.8T... but turbocharged cars eat plugs faster than NA's.

As for oil, audi calls for 5w40 usually, but some oil like mobil 1 they recommend 0w-40

I use castrol syntec now, 5w40, which is what dealers use, I think.

 

sorry for such a noob question.. since the valve cover on mine says 5v im assuming its a 30 valve. I didnt know there were others.
