I've got the 12 valve

I heard that ngk's gives problems but bosch is the plug to use

for oil i use valvoline 20w 50

Where did you hear this? NGK is the preferred plug and is what the dealer used for the 12 valve afaik. Check out the 12 valve forum on audiworld. Bunch of great guys with your engine.

The 96 and 97 V6 engines were 12 valve's. It's a carry over engine from the pre-A4 cars.
