Default 2.8 Exhaust Suggestions

I'm interested in getting a cat-back exhaust but there aren't that many options out there for the 2.8. Looking for one with a nice deep tone, not too loud and doesn't sound like a 4banging ricer. I saw the milltek and the Greddy G2. Does anyone have either installed and how do they sound? Also, are there any other options out there?

Miltek, GHL, and I think Borla all make the exhaust for the 2.8

It depends on the sound. I searched every single sound clip on the internet and made efforts to hear a few in person. If you want catback, I think Supersprint makes a great system. I have a 1.8T with a Remus exhaust. Though Remus is not catback, the sound is amazing - deep, throaty, but not obstrusive. As sweet as GHLs look and sound, I've heard that they can be loud. All in all, recommend Supersprint for the full system. I'm more familiar with B6s, but this might got for B5s as well: Keepinga 1.8T quiet (not hearing it from 3 blocks away) is not hard because the turbo contains much of the noise. I heard that you have to be careful with the 3.0 if you don't won't a obtrusively loud system. But in all honesty, as long as you go with a name-brand system that has been developed for your car with all the right specs (Supersprint, Milltek, etc.), you'll be happy. Personally, I'd stay away from an custom made systems.

Custom exhausts are as good as any as long as you do the right thing. I've posted the link on other threads relevant to cats and exhausts.... strongly recommend that you check it out. The guy basically went with a flex-pipe to y-pipe into 1 HFC into resonator..
When it comes down to sound.....
It's pretty much impossible to make these 2.8motors sound bad... Unlike four cylinder motors, the 2.8s have a real deep sexy tone which sounds good with most setups from my observation... Not saying 1.8s sound bad, just sayin 2.8s sound good

Go custom back to a Remus muffler. That's what I did. I got rid of the mid-resonator though...if you don't want it to be overly loud (like mine ) keep the mid-resonator. I have a video clip, http://media.putfile.com/Remus38
