Does anyone know of a list or something like that of all the possible mods for 99 2.8, i know its kinda limited but stuff like intake....

 

Your first mod should be to sell the 2.8 a4 and buy a 1.8t a4. No j/k but you can do intake, and exhaust but other then that i think to really get any gains you would need to supercharge her.

 

you can get cams for them, but i don't know where, and i don't know how much power they give you....you can bore out your throttle body, port you manifolds...a small shot of nos (50 shot or even 75 shot) wouldn't put too much strain on your engine....electric fan kit will free up some hp....lightweight pulleys, short shifter, bored maf, suspension crap...i'm sure there's more..

 

How much does that cost?

Wow, I never noticed how "superior" the 1.8T is compared to the V6....I thought people just liked playing with a turbo. I guess the V6 kinda sucks then, no? I haven't driven the V6 yet, but I wanna try both before I buy.

 

I enjoy my V6 and wouldn't trade it for anythin else.. i wouldn't go as far as saying 1.8 is superior.. as far as mod ability yea it is..

The 1.8t is known to be a little better of an engine but not by much. Thats the thing with the V6, if you dont want to mod the car at all the V6 would work great for ya. But if you plan on doing any modding at all then you really want to get the 1.8t. I had the 2.8 in my passat before i got my audi and it was a nice engine but i ended up selling it because i got bored with it and wanted the turbo of the 1.8t.

 

heres a post i did awhile ago regareding my 2.8 30V. I decided to give up and save my money for a s4. I gotta get a insurance quote but pretty sure my the end of the year (hopeing) maybe early next year i will have one.
