I need to replace the passenger side valve cover gasket. Anybody know what pieces I'll have to remove to do this or any particular problems envolved? I'm trying to figure out how long it will take me.

 

Take out the air box and intake flex hose, then its pretty striaght forward on a 2.8L, when you put the valve cover back on however make sure to use a mirror and check to see if you pinched the gasket in the rear or on the side of the head because that will cause one hell of a leak.

Well, it took about 1.5 to 2 hours (depending on how much other stuff you do). I left the pvc? flex tube connected. Removed all the covers, plug wires, air intake tubes and box (left the air mas meter connected), unplugged wiring, and disconnected the fuel line. With a little coaxing, the cover came off. Removed old gasket (in pieces), wicked up as much oil as possible from around the plugs, put in new gasket and buttened everything back up. Seems not to leak.
