Default 2.8L V6 TB cleaning questions?

Ok I am going to do this and hope and really think itswill help the rough idie in the AM. So here is the questions I have for the masters

1. Can I leave the TB on the block and just take the back end off and hit it with cleaner (popping off the MAF and tube along the back that hooks up to the back of the TB)?

2. Must I get the gasket for the TB after I clean it (28 bucks dealer for the main one on the block if I take the whole TB off)

3. Anything I should watch out for (besides the coolant lines attached to the TB any springs or small bolts)?

I know there is 4 bolts 3 10mm and one 8mm and I have done a ton of crap to my ride Vac lines, TB, waterpump, sus swaps. everything you can think of but this worries me and I don't know why...lol.

Nobody has ever cleaned the throttle body for the V6. JK I reread my post and seen I didn't put what TB stood for...lol.

ya just take off the intake pipe and clean that bia... and i would suggest a new gasket, its tough for used gaskets to seal up again.

So there is a gasket for the air intake hose to the TB? Never heard of that. Just remove the air intake from the TB, no need to remove the entire TB. I am not as familiar with the v6, but you should be able to remove the hose, spray carb cleaner in there, and scrub with a toothbrush and wipe clean with a rag. re-attach air tube, and thats it.

be very carful. when you remove the flex part of the intake hose right after that there is a sensor there...
I know becuz I juss did my TB cleaning, and yes my ride is a 2.8l V6....no need to remove the TB assembly...pain in the A** dont' try...I juss spraycleaner and wiped it down....my problem was a little worse..I had idle problem. Try afterwards to use a Injector cleaner called "SEAFOAM" ..this is any awsome product...after this bottle of injector cleaner my car idle back to normal, and runs like a champ.

Ok I have a little vibe problem now at idie so thats why I am doing this...I also know right where that sensor is so I am taking that off for sure. Also I am running seafoam in my gas tank right now and after I do the TB cleaning I am going to get another can and put in in the Vac lines and make the big white smoke line after. Thanks for the info and hint I am doing a ton of stuff this weekend. HEadlight swap, 4 TRE, rear brake pads, SAIP, and 3rd brake light. the funny thing is these are all from 3 diff B5...lol.
