Default how much is too much when cleaning?!

ok guys/gals.

i am OBSESSED with keeping my car clean inside and out since i have to keep her parked outside ;-(. andi've only had her for a month now.

on average, i probably use "vinylex protectant" to wipe down any dust on the dash, leather seatsandinside door panels ( basically wherever there are plastics/leather inside) almost every other day when admittedly theres nothing there to clean up!

and in regards to the exterior, about 5 days ago i have already polished it with "mothers" for the pre waxing and then used "meguires nxt" wax. but i have already been using "ice"detailer for the in betweenwaxing. im already thinking of waxing her in mid june.

am i doing more harm than good?! i havent really heard anything about those products i use that would cause any long term damages.

i am unaware that there is a way to clean your car too much. With regards to the exterior of the car i know that both meguires and mothers are both good products to use. I haven't heard of any negative long-term effects either. As for the interior and vinylex i dont know if you can over clean the inside or if that product can harm the interior at all.

But i have the same obsession as you do. I love keeping my car clean!

Black and swirls go hand in hand (especially if you keep her outside). Just put a top coat on whenever you wash the car. You might want to invest in a Cyclon dual action (it will save your arms), if you like to polish your car alot. Look into the Klause systems to clean and seal your paint two or three times a year. As far as the interior goes. I use 303 protectant on the interior. But in the end, using pretty much anything is better than nothing. You might also want to check out this site Autotopia. You can read days and days on cleaningyour car.

earchyou are obsessed and wash once a week. if im having a lazy week i will do twice. usually i wash my car 3 times a week. i live in the city. but the black shows everything. i even park in a garage. i like my car looking clean. i wash with maguires products, but use no brushes and only microfiber rags with the soap. and a chamois to dry. also some quick detailing polish/wax.... just remember. MICROFIBER towels. and i see no swirls. EVER
