2001 A4 2.8 quattro with 135K miles
Thanks A4.max!
I appreciate the post and the thoughtful advice! I probably get too emotional about a pretty car.
It is a beauty this one I'm looking at.
I guess I was hoping the mileage wasn't such a big deal if it was taken care of since the car will probably see a max of 3K miles a year under my ownership as I spend most my time overseas. KBB.com showed the car at 12K for Good condition at that mileage. I like that Audi has a good resale value.

That Saab sounds like a good deal but if you like the A4s more dont settle theres TONS of these around! A few sources I found very helpful when I was searching are www.Autotrader.com as well as The Want Advertisor and varios other magazines/booklets that you can find at most corner stores. The magazines usually have cars that are close by and you can set a zip code on autotrader.com. I dont know if you have already checked these sources out but trust me don't settle I probably went to see 50 cars in a few months before finding mine.

Oh by the way a good idea to see if a car is over/underpriced is by visiting http://www.kbb.com. By entering some info you can get an average selling price for pretty much any car in any shape.

9k is definitely too pricey for that mileage. Since the car was properly cared for and everything you could probly get another 50k without too many problems but definitely keep searching. i bought my 98 A4(basically an s4 with all the upgrades) with 80K for only $8250 on autotrader.com. i wouldn't get the saab, but thats jus cause i love audi's. jus be patient and u will find ur baby.
Lol!
The dude forgot to mention that he hit a deer?! Amazing how some people still try to pull this off in the carfax-era. Anyway, I agree with what has been said, 9k for 135 is way to much. I bought my 2.8 2000 for 11000 and it had 94000. The only reason why I gave a little extra (adequate price would be around 9500) was because the guy had done a lot of maintenance just 3000 miles before namely TB, new set of tires, tie rods, etc. Without it I would definitely negotiate the price to at least 10k.
But take the good advice and don't settle; keep looking and u're bound to find what u're looking for.
Good luck with your car hunting!
