Default 2001 A4 5 speed Clutch change

2001 A4 Quatro 1.8 Turbo, changing out my clutch, never changed one on an Audi, so I took it to my garage, who I trust, but... he wants $2,200.00 for the clutch change. Is this too much???

Also, where can I find a good clutch kit? I'll need a pressure plate also.

Love this car!

Thank you guys!

WOW, I would charge you 8.3 hours of labor @ $85/hr bringing your total LABOR cost to $705.50..... $2,200 seems a little high.

Are you looking for an aftermarket or oem replacement?

Clutch Masters Stage 1 - $500
Clutch Masters Stage 3/4 - $695
Includes:
* Pressure Plate
* Clutch Disc
* Throw-out Bearing (when applicable)
* Pilot Bearing or Bushing (when applicable)
* Alignment Tool

OEM 228mm Replacement Kit:

Luk (OEM) Clutch Kit - $514.98
Includes: Clutch Disc, Pressure Plate, Clutch Release Bearing

OEM Upgrade:

Valeo (OEM) Dual Mass to Solid Flywheel Conversion - $795.20
Includes: Solid Flywheel, Pressure Plate, Clutch Disc, Throw-Out Bearing, flywheel mounting bolts

Hope this helps!
