my coolant is below the minimum line and i need to add to it.

is there a particular kind i need to purchase?

 

Hi, I've got a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T. I had the same problem today. It's a bit low. The manual calls for a G12 coolant. I couldn't find it at any auto parts stores, but the dealer has it. It was around $23 + tax for a gallon. You can buy it online as well it appears. Not sure if the 01 uses the same, but I'd check the manual or with a dealer to make sure.
