Please help! My Audi A4, 2001 model has had a battery change about 3 weeks ago. Ever since the alarm system has gone haywire! Every time you open the car doors the hazards start flickering for about 5 minutes and then stops jyst to start again when a door is opened. Even if the car is not started it still does that. We took it for a diagnostic test and it they said the “control” box need to be replaced as it is dead. Which means my windows can’t close and keys are completely non responsive to the remote or alarm system. What can I do to bypass this because to replace this will cost over ZAR11,000! What do you call this control box and can I buy this separately with new keys or what should I do? Please help!
