2001 A4 Spacer for rims
I have a 2001 A4 with 18" AT Italia Raza rims. When turning right into an incline the back right wheelwell makes a grrrremp noise. I was told by the stealership after replaceing both rear wheel bearings ($520). That I needed a spacer for my rims because it was rubbing on the shock.
If that is the case why does it only happen on both rear wheels and why only when turning into an inclined drive? Why not when I hit a bump?
In any event I would like to find a spacer to test this theory. I have called around to the local rim stores and I can't find any. I was told bya place that for Audi they would have to measure the car and the rim and custom make the spacer for $100 each. Ouch. This sounds fishes but I can't find em anywhere.
Can anyone help?
Thx.
