Hi guys,

Ive got a quick question...

How many wires actually connect to the 5 pin wiring harness on the MAF on a 2001 a4 with the AWM engine code.

I bought a new connector cause i cracked my old one and the new connector came with 5 wires but the original one i had only was using pins 2-5 and not 1.

After cutting open the wiring tube i found a small black wire that was lose and not connected to anything...

Only 4 wires are used on mine

 

there are 2 different housing for B5 A4. you got the wrong one I think.

 

yep the 4 wire one goes up to 2001 then I think it goes to 5 pin, cause we don't use the AWM engine code ours is AWT and I have the system test data to show you how its wired although its the AEB engine code its the same setup

Nope, im fine i got the one on the left.. it connected properly... Ill keep you guys posted on why my car still shoots me p0102 (low voltage to the MAF) but the damn thing runs fine...
