Default 2001 Heater Core

Diagnosis: 1/2 clogged heater core - should I ask the dealer to do a full flush before I let them replace the entireunit ($ ouch!)?

Bah, take out the battery and dis-connect both lines going to the heater core. Stick an air gun in there and blow out all the crap thats in there.
NOTE: you may have to take a shower in coolant when doing this so dress accordingly. [8D]

I may be a woman, but I alway's go with my hunches and appreciate knowledgable/expert advice. Getting my A4 out of the dealer tomorrow - money suckers[:'(]But what's the chance the core may bereally clogged, guess we won't know till after the flush/blow!

Really never have had any real big $ problems with the car - what do you think - I've taken good care of it with lots of TLC. I almost feel I'm being taken advange of[>:]

If its at the dealer and you are a women, than it would not surprise me if they were just trying to take your money. Try what auditech said first before wasting to much money at the stealership (there's a reason they got that name )
