2002 1.8t 110,000 miles what to expect?

DV is diverter valve.
The car should be fine if treated well. 100K miles of highway should be easy driving. Have the car checked out by a reliable mechanic.
Just remember about buying a car from a family friend or neighbor. You have to mentally prepare yourself to remain friends with the seller even if the car turns out to be a lemon. You will have to buy it and assume that he is not trying to pull something, and never go back and complain to him if in 6 months lots of stuff goes wrong.
Ask for the service record. Take it to an Audi dealer or mechanic to check it mechanically. I bought my 2001 with 99000 Km and it cost me $2500 for all the things that I needed replaced because I didn't get a mechanic to look into it first. I love the car now and it still drive like a dream.
Thats too many miles, dont do it. yeah the engine may be in ok shape, but sooer or later (probably real soon) the headliner will start to come off, the door will rattle, all your suspension compnets will need to be replaced. Just look for a lower milage car and pay the extra money. Also did you ask the guy why he was selling the car.
i didnt know anything about a headliner or door rattles, but it seems like those are things that would happen over time, rather then just mileage. the suspension would probably have to get done, but if you get the car for cheap, it might be worth the replacement. i agree to find out why hes selling it.
