I am looking to pick up a 2002 A4 1.8T AWD.

I would like to put aside some $1,500 for mods in just the HP increase area. Since I live at over 8,000 feet and routinely drive up over 11,000-12,000 to Denver and back, what would be my best starting point on mods in this price range?

The passes kill cars out here, some are pretty good sustained grades at high altitude.

GIAC or APR chip? DV valve, and exhaust?

Or is there a turbo upgrade kit that would include the chip?

If you have 1,500 that is perfect for the awe ko4 upgrade. This kit comes with software and everything you need to run it. It puts out 235hp so its well worth it. There having a sale right now for 1,300. Id jump on it if you can.

 

Negative hauss, awe doesn't sell a turbo kit for the B6, but other companies sell turbo kits but are outside the 1500 dollar budget. Apr's stage 1+ chip upgrade would be pretty nice, a DV and exhaust. Either giac or apr are good.

 

I keep on forgeting poeple have those b6 things.

Did you search on AW cause i did to and only found like 2 people said **** went wrong, man i had this link to a poll of which chip everyone used, if they had problems or not, if they were satisfied, if they would switch chips and a whole bunch of other stuff, it was interesting.

 

You have the right idea , get more air in the engine: DV, Chip and Large turbo.
