Default 2002 A4

Hey, Im about to buy a 2002 A4 and I wanted some advice. I am looking a 1.8T and after the perchase should have about $7,000-8,000 left over to modify it. I was wondering what you recomend I do for the largest gains. Thanks

Where should I get the turbo and isnt there other things i need to support it such as an intercooler? I called up APR and they have a 1.8T turbo kit for the B6 A4 coming out around new years thatll make 340hp.

You don't have to have all the extra stuff like a FMIC. It just helps with heat soak. I didn't know they don't have a kit yet. I'm more informed with the B5 platform, than the B6.

Keep 1500 in the bank for unexpected repairs, timing belt, control arms, wheel bearings and general maintenance.

No good having a 260hp car that you don't have the money left to fix when something goes wrong.

haha i know but with an A4 is it possible. With 340hp it would be faster than the S4 cus it would weigh less...right? Being optamistic, what would I need. PS i know i spell like a four-year old

Well if the APR kit is really goign to put out 340hp then that should beat the evo's 276 (correct me if i'm wrong).

David, good advise as always.

Yea I deff want to have some money left over but i get a little carried away. I was over at the dealership the other day with my friend and they claim the EVO to hit 60 in like 4.8. Thats gona be tough to beat. The A4s a fat girl compared to the balemic EVO.
