I have an 2002 A4 which for the last few weeks has had various electric related issues and I would like to know what the most likely cause and fix to the problems is.

At various times the trunk can not be unlatched from either the remote or door handle release (but releases normally with the key in the trunk lock. The gas latch periodically does not unlock while the car is unlocked. The interior lights do not consistently light up when car is unlocked with remote or door is open. Sometimes the interior lights come on several seconds after door is opened. The vanity light on the visor mirror does not consistently stay on.

The battery is only a couple of years old, and I have had no problems starting the car, nor have any indicaor error lights come on.

Any help would be appreciated.
