2004 3.0 Quattro questions
About to buy an 04 A4 3.0 quattro with 6 speed manual, 46k miles in great condition for $18k from a small dealer...car was bought off lease. My question is, since edmunds has the private party value at $22k and the trade-in value at $19.5k, is this too good to be true getting it for $18k? Called dealership and asked for reports on the VIN, they said only normal warranty fixes have occurred. Seems like a great car...any thoughts? thanks for the help.
by the way, VIN# is WAULT68E14A214287

Sounds like a good deal to me.
I just paid (about a month ago) $23,999 for mine which is '04 3.0QM with 40k mi, in great shape, certified and has Sport, Convienence, Premium, and cold weather packages, along with the Premium Leather.

Sport package = 17" wheels, two finger gap between tires (235/45) and fender
Cold Weather = heated seats and ski sack (fold down armrest in the back seat, open access panel, if there is a bag there that extends forward, that's the ski sack)
Premium package = homelink on the drivers sun visor, auto dimming mirors (with compass on the rearview and the side ones fold electronically) Drivers side power seat memory, Xenon headlights, Audio buttons on the steering wheel, Sunroof (looks like the premium package has the stuff that in earlier years was in the premium and convienence packages)
I have a pdf file (04a4sedan.pdf) that lists all the options, specs and MSRPs... not sure where I got it, but if you'd like it, I can email it to you... the forum won't let me post it.

A car fax report never hurts.
Are they going to warrant it for any period of time? I say go for it, its sounds good.
Of course, the sensible thing to do would be tohave an audi dealer inspect the car for you. That way you'll at least know what you are getting in to. I wouldn't expect the seller to even know if something was wrong, or tell you even if they did!

bought the car after calling a few audi dealers and asking about the VIN...no sport package which sucks but it does have the cold weather and i think premium...has sunroof and audio controlls on steering wheel so im assuming this means premium package?
