Hammered is correct. It is a thin veneer of real wood glued to a substrate. The it is clearcoated. All audi wooden trim has been real veneer wood.

I was confused by the posts, as a few of them seemed to have a hint of sarcasm Thanks for the help though.

why do you want to know so much about the wood trim.. just a question, I didnt think it was, but i guess i was wrong.. it happnes..

I'm pretty sure our wood trim is made from birds eye maple.

At A6 and A8 have different options for exotic woods.
