I just my first audi, it is a 2004 1.8t with a 6 speed. It has 88K miles and I do not know what has been serviced on it. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on some things that need to be maintained to avoid future problems. I would imagine the timing belt needs to be serviced. I have a two year powertrain warranty but does not cover maintenance items. If you all could give me suggestions I would be greatly appreciative. Also, if anyone has any thoughts on installing a blow off valve and what kind I should get I would be appreciative.

no offense....im new to these forums too.. but all these people are gonna say search..because this question has been asked thousands of time...just thought id give you a heads up...

and blow off valves dont do anything but make a noise....(waste of money) IMO

get your timing belt done ASAP, please dont get a blow off valve, then get a 1+ flash from someone... before a minivan beats you!

 

Please read the difference between a BOV and DV, before someone truly goes off the deep end.
