If you have that kind of money, why not go for an s4? Or a new a5?

why would you want to pay $37,000 for a new A4 @ $550/month for a lease? Your money is going towards nothing...ie you won't own it unless you buy it out. Also you can get a 2006 S4 for probably $33K that still is under manufacturer warranty for another two years!

There isn't really anything special about owning an '08 A4 except for the fact that it's brand new...is that really such a great thing?

LampyB.
Alright ill say it again, I dont want a used car, I am in and out of cars every 1-2 years. If i buy this A4 and put nothing down and 1.5 years from now i want to sell it i am going to be negitive and owe more money then the car is worth. If i lease it i dont have to worry about it. I will give you a perfect example in Dec 2005 i lease a 2006 g35 coupe full loaded 40k sticker. In sept 06 i traded it in and got what i owed on it for the lease buy out. if i bought that car flat out i would have owed them thousands more. Also in the month of Sept 06 i bought a new 2006 Mitsu evolution and put about 18k into it over the past year. Just last month i parted the car the out and put it all back to stock. I sold all my aftermarket parts and sold the car bone stock for 25k, a year later after buying it for about 36k brand new(put nothing down). Now after a year of payments i still owed 31k on this car. I had to take 6k out of my own pocket to get rid of the car. That is why i wont buy a brand new car, because i wont have it a year or two later. Buying new cars is great for people who want to keep it for 5 plus years.I am not one of those people and thats why i lease.

Because a lease on those cars is way more money.

Chris: I'm still trying to figure out how your lease is so freaking cheap. What is the money factor your were quoted? Only $1k down total? What is the "purchase price?"
