Default 2008 A4 Sirius module

We just bought an '08 A4 and want satellite radio. The car is wired (of course) but needs the Sirius module. I've read thread after thread trying to figure out which version it needs and even contacted our local dealer with the vin#. They say it needs the 593F (593D will also work) but that doesn't sound right to me. I'm thinking what I need is a 593L. The vin# (....48A....) is after Audi switched over to a single Fakra connection....there's a total of 3 plugs in the trunk).

Also, the dealer said I have to bring the car in to have the module "coded" to the car so it will work. Is this true?

Our local Audi dealer in Lexington is telling me I need the 593F while the dealer in Knoxville says I need a 593Q....Louisville says an N. I have yet to get two answers the same.

If I can't get a straight answer from a dealer I'm tempted to chuck the whole idea.
