2010 Audi A4 faulty piston rings, hwo hard to fix?
I have a 2010 Audi a4 with only 59k miles and 2.0. As im sure many of you know this year has the high oil consumption due to faulty piston rings. I have to drop a quart into the engine every 2 weeks and im worried this issue will make it blow early. I want to get this fixed by pretty much a top end rebuild. How hard is it to fix? and how much would it cost to have a mechanic do it. Also if I wanted to do an engine swap what kind of audi engines would fit in my audi. I really am in need for some answers so Thank You!
Rebuilding the top end won't help if the rings are the cause of the leak. Engine rebuilds can be pricey and I am unsure what the total cost would be. As for engine swaps that can be even more difficult. Although your model and year may have come with multiple engine types it usually is not as easy to pop a different size in (different transmission connection would be one possible issue). You might contact Audi and see if they will cover fixing the consumption issue or splitting the cost with you. Might be a hard fight on an 8 year old car though.
Na początku w casino szło mi kiepsko, kilka rund Book of Dead przyniosło same straty, ale potem jeden odważniejszy spin całkowicie odwrócił sytuację. To miejsce stało się dla mnie sposobem na oderwanie myśli od codziennych problemów i dodanie odrobiny emocji do dnia.
