3.0 mileage?
so i recieved my 3.0 saturday and so far mileage has not been good at all. trying very hard my average is 15mpg!!! (from trip computer). in my moms 07 MDX with 300hp i could get 16mpg when i was reallly trying, average according to its trip computer. so im wondering maybe its time to change the spark plugs? automatic transmission fluid? im getting my oil changed tomorrow for sure. any other suggestions?

I'd do plugs and coils..and w/those readings, maybe even fuel filter. Should make it much better..
DIY cost
Plugs: $30
Coils: $35x6 (should've bought a 1.8t
)
Fuel Filter: $15-30 (brand variations)
= $270 @ most

before you do all that... is there a circle with a line through it next to that 15 mpgs?.. i have an 03 6 speed a4 with 3.0 motor quattro and mine says that too for some reason but if you push the little button on the side of the windsheild wiper switch you will see differant options for example what the mpgs at the time you are drivin instead of an average... i wouldnt go by that id fill it up, reset the trip odometerand drive it, then about 1/4 tank left refill and keep and see how many gallons you put in then divide that by the miles on your trip odometer and then see what you get... in cold weather and snow i was gettin 17-20 mpgs with mixed city/country roads drivin and i drive spirited so i would deff. try that first and if it still averages out to 15 mpgs then i would check air filter and all that fun stuff... good luck, hope this was helpful
yea i have seen the other options. i would think average mileage would be better then instantaneous mileage because instantaneous mileage could be a little misleading like for example when you are coming to stop mines jumps up from like 50mpg to 90mpg! average definetly better way to determine mileage.
i also have to check the air pressure in the tires, if too low that could be lowering mileage as well.

well mine does that too lol its weird, when i shift it goes from23 to like 200 mpgs ha... all im sayin is i wouldnt live by the computerized reading because mine tells me 15mpgs average and its way off
