www.tap1.com put a chip on their site this april for the 30V that claims 18+HP, that's 3-4 times better than GIAC's chip...just thought some of you 30Vers might want to know...

wow sounds pretty good! would be even more tempting if i was in florida. i don't like the idea of having to send off my ECU in the mail. i wish someone in the Atlanta area offered this so i coud get it on a same day basis.

 

I had a bad first impression with the TAP people... i have a tap stage 1 chip on my 1.8T... I emailed them with a fairly lengthly email, in proper grammar and spelling... basically I had asked them what octane of fuel I would see the best performance from, and also asked a question as to the estimated release date of their 6 spd transmission conversion... my reply was this:

high octane only. no longer available

ok... umm... so I guess that answered my questions? Not really though... i kinda figured i needed high octane fuel, I wanted an actual #... and I am assuming the "no longer available" pertained to the 6 spd. Lazy bastards.

 

has anyone with a 2.8L 30V done this yet??...very interested, but don't quite have the money yet since school's startin back up
