Hi,

Does anyone know what it would cost to fix a 3rd gear syncromesh probelm on an audi A4 TDI (red) in the UK?

When I change into 3rd gear on high revs the gear crunches. Once it is in 3rd gear it works just fine.

Also does anyone know of any reliable dealers in the Manchester region??

Jupiter, that's not really a problem many, if any of us, have encountered. Sorry! [&o]

 

ive encounters a grinding from 3rd to 2nd. this was also only in high rpms and only if i shifted fast. The syncro is going to have to be replaced; and unless you know alot about transmissions, i suggest you have a transmission shop repair your transmission.

yeah my 1st to 2nd grinds sometimes... I hope its not my syncro.
