Hello all, I am new to the forum here. I just purchased a 1993 Audi 100S V6 Auto knowing that it has an issue with the transmission. I believe it is in limp mode but am not sure. The car will not shift out of second gear when put into drive. It starts in second and that is where it stays. I actually cant physically put it into first gear. I have been searching online for this specific vehicle and how to diagnose but to no avail. Any tech tips or ways to reset or troubleshoot would be greatly appreciated.

Also I think I have an issue with the LCD on the dash for the gear indicator. It doesn't light up at all and I can't even tell what gear it is in on the dash.

Any help would be most appreciated.
