i havent really treied researching this at all, b/c im just sitting here at work thinking how sweet it would be to have that motor in my B5 A4, anyone ever seen this done? is it even possible?

 

I don't think it would fit.

 

won't fit - the front end of that car is too big for your b5

 

that is what i figured, but could you imagine that

 

my friend was just @ an e30 BMW picnic and a guy showed up with a vett motor in his E30 5.7l v8 rofl
. i highly doubt that would ever fit

 

See its not only that it wouldn't fit, but I guarantee the frame of the car would have to be re-braced for the TT V8.

 

what about the S4 motor.... do they use the same wire harness and such? b/c before i start modding my engine, i wanna see what it could cost me 2 get an S4 motor first

 

It would cost to sell your A4 and buy an S4.

 

it would cost less to sell my A4? im assuming thats what u meant with that post.... but i have a lot of exterior and some interior stuff done, so i dont wanna start all over.... just do a motor swap eventually.... or do you guys think i should keep the 1.8T and just mod the heck out of it... or do the motor swap and modify that?

Its a heck of a lot of work. Check audizine as I believe I read someone had done it over there.
