what is the typical cost of this service and what is done?

i just had mine done three weeks ago at 38K miles, originally theyquoted about $310 but after getting my car in there and looking at it, it has been maintained meticulous and more often than needed so it only ended up cost wise at $116(w/synthetic) and two hours, which included them adding new freon to my a/c.
