Default 41000 mile service question

so im takin my car in on wedesday for its 41000 (or 40000, whatever) service. anything i should be particularly interested in? i read another post about a slipping clutch and think i might have the same problem. assuming i do, how do i make them fix it and not just tell me its in my head (becasue that seems like something audi would do). what else should i be thinking about? anything? thanks

Default RE: 41000 mile service question

Ha ha I have never owned a car that did not start at 70000 miles when I bought it.

Lets see in the first fortyK?

Nothing should really be wrong in the first forty unless you are rough on it. If this is your last freebie though and you really don't plan on coming back for 60K, check all the electronics and bulbs and if you use your sunroof a lot, that thing will have the motor die. Have um check your timing and plugs and plug wires (plugs should be close to needing service). Tell them you are concerned about the coolant system and want them to pressure test it and check for leaks. See if you can get a new fuel filter? I mean most of this is 60K stuff but you can always ask.

As for your clutch, if you are on 40K and you burnt up a clutch you are rough on cars. But you might need your clutch adjusted. If you can break your clutch free when you floor it out, it is probably a clutch going out, but clutches usually last as long as brakes (like atleast 80) unless you are always stop and go and ride it a lot (not taking your foot completely off because you know you'll just have to apply it again).
